Asiatic Affairs is UCL’s first and only society focused on current affairs and issues in Asia. As a society focused on a continent as heterogeneous as Asia, we value inclusivity and aim to represent different areas of the continent through our work. By actively engaging with issues pertinent to the region, we aim to expand individual perspectives and build a community passionate about Asiatic affairs.

Founded in 2012, UCL Diplomacy Society is University College London’s biggest international affairs focused society. It aims to introduce students to the diplomatic career path and inform them about politics, international relations and current global issues. It is a non-politically affiliated society that strives to provide students with an in-depth understanding of today's challenges and a wide range of topics and opinions to reflect on.

We are the official UCL chapter of European Horizons, the only student-led policy incubator of its kind devoted to exploring the meaning of European identity, advancing the cause of European integration, and deepening transatlantic relations. To this end, European Horizons has established a network of students, professors, and European decision-makers, with links to academia, politics, civil society, and business. Our mission is, through organising events, connecting people, and putting forward new ideas, to weave a more integrated social fabric in Europe and to strengthen the confidence of the European Union.

Now entering its ninth year, the UCL International Relations Society has proven to be one of the most enthralling societies on campus. We aim to foster a greater awareness and appreciation for international affairs among UCL students by hosting everything from lectures and talks, to fields trips.

UCL Effective Altruism is a student society that aims to help students at UCL make a positive difference in the world. We’re part of the Effective Altruism community – a research field that aims to find the best ways to improve the world, using evidence and careful reasoning. It’s also a movement of people who strive to take action on that basis, to make the biggest difference possible.
